THE KING’S ARMS

A proper country pub for long lunches, good drinks and getting away from it all.

Tucked away in the village of Didmarton, on the edge of the Cotswolds in South Gloucestershire, The King’s Arms is the kind of country pub you hope to find when you head into the sticks. Full of character, quietly charming and made for settling in.

Part of Inn The Sticks, we’re big on good food, good drinks and great British hospitality. Come for a long lunch, a proper dinner, Sunday roast, a drink with friends or simply because you fancy getting out of town for a while.

Inside, you’ll find cosy corners, characterful rooms and the relaxed feel of a proper village inn. Outside, the Gloucestershire countryside provides the backdrop for sunny afternoons, long lunches and drinks that somehow turn into dinner.

Our menus change with the seasons, with generous, unfussy cooking made from carefully sourced British ingredients. Behind the bar, there are well-kept local ales, proper ciders, good wines and a few things we simply like drinking.

There’s plenty to explore around us too. We’re just minutes from Junction 18 of the M4, with Tetbury, Westonbirt Arboretum, Badminton Estate and Highgrove all close by. Castle Combe, Malmesbury, Cirencester, Chipping Sodbury and the wider Cotswolds are all within easy reach.

So, whether you’ve spent the day walking, cycling, exploring the Cotswolds, visiting Westonbirt or Badminton, or you’re simply looking for somewhere good to eat, pull up a chair and stay awhile.

Bring the family. Bring the dog. Bring friends. Or just bring yourself.

Good food. Good drinks. Good company. A little bit of country.
